  • When our friends at Omlet got in touch to say that they were writing a new book about chickens and could I contribute, of course I said yes! The Omlet team have been coming to Hen Corner for staff training over many years and so it was no surprise when it was my quiche recipe that they asked for, as they’d each enjoyed it for lunch on our courses.

    Marvellous Marmalade!

    I’ve been making marmalade for many years now, every year that we’ve lived in the corner house (that’s been 12 years), and for a good few years before that. I remember the first time that I stocked up on Seville Oranges, I had great plans to boil up buckets of the stuff, unfortunately, I learnt some important lessons the hard way.

  • We’ve been keeping hens in London since 2007 and it was on moving to the house in the corner of the street, the following year, that opened up the possibilities of increasing the size of the flock, indulging in different types of chickens, and welcoming others to come and see how easy it is to keep chickens in a London back garden.

  • This week, Hen Corner celebrated it’s 8th Birthday! Looking back we’ve had some great fun, however, we’ve got a sneaky feeling that the best is yet to come…
